They’re all varieties of parrots. I didn’t write down the species names. All these pictures were taken inside the Rainforest Pyramid at Moody Gardens in Houston.
I have 24 different types of tropical birds, and I am glad someone else has expirenced the joy of seeing some of these wonderful creatures. They are a handful but well worth the time and effort. If you would like to see some photos of my little bundles of joy let me know.
These are all amazing bird pictures, but it would’ve been very helpful if you had the name of these species of parrots (would’ve given me higher marks in my homework )
The blue birds with the yellow around the eyes are Hyacinth Macaws. A very large macaw, very gentle but not much of a talker. The second pic is of two blue and gold macaws. These guys can be pretty good talkers. The third pic is a hybrid macaw (e.g., a scarlet macaw and a blue and gold). Hope this helps!
What is the name of the plant? It is so beautiful. I’ve seen it at the local nursery and never really read the name and went back to look at it and it wasn’t there anymore…then I saw your pic and was like…there it is!
Sorry, I don’t know the names of the plants. Next time I go on a photo trip I’ll write down the names for all the photos, since everyone is interested in them. I just took these because they were pretty.
