Kitten on a birdhouse
Happy moment of the day:

Just when you get disappointed with life, something little reminds you that all you need to do is step back and appreciate the simple things.
Almost every time we visit Hubby’s parents out in the country, there is a fresh batch of kittens. Some of them are wild, so you have to ask which ones are okay to grab before you reach a hand out to pet them. But some of them are just as tame as a sassy old lap cat. I could sit on the front porch petting kittens for hours. (And I usually do.)
The thing about the cats is they tend to hang around the porch, which is always covered in interesting items. This little one found a birdhouse to perch on. Other times you’ll see two kittens scamper across an old rusty cash register. Whatever they do, they’re nice little reminders of the joy and wonder of life.
If only we had a front porch.
