Cloud Pictures

Jun 25, 2008 16:06

Having grown up in the tornado belt, I love storms. I also love looking up at the sky and seeing new varieties of clouds unlike anything I’ve seen before.

Carefree puffs that just make me want to scoot:

Light Clouds

And then there are swirly, ever-changing, interesting storm clouds.

These bubbly clouds popped up suddenly one evening,

Bubbly Clouds

darkened over the course of a few minutes,

Dark Bubbly Clouds

and soon became streaks across the sky.

Wavy Clouds

A wonderful thunderstorm followed. I missed thunderstorms. It’s so good to be back where they happen more than once a year.

Still cleaning out the camera archives:

Red Tulips

Boulder was overflowing with gorgeous tulips on the day we visited. What luck to arrive when they were all in full bloom!

Another Happy Moment of the Day from the camera archives:

Scooter Monkey

This picture was taken about a month and a half ago at a scooter rally. The Zippamonkey here made it all 65 miles.

Kitten caught her tail

Happy moment of the day:

Kitten catching her tail

“Look what I caught!”

I took this a few weeks ago on my in-laws’ front porch, but since I was going through my old downloaded pictures anyway… :)

Lazy Days of Summer

Jun 17, 2008 22:06

I know, I know, I haven’t written in awhile.

But who wants to sit on an uncomfy chair in front of the computer… when you can go sit in front of this?

Lake Fishing

We’ve been enjoying the abundant parks and lakes, alternating between exploring on the scooters and sitting at the edges of the lakes. The fishing hasn’t been spectacular, but then the moon isn’t right for it yet.

Little Fish

The scenery and the weather, on the other hand, are superb. It cools off to a perfect 73 degrees with a light summer breeze in the evening, and the sunsets have been beautiful. When we don’t feel like fishing, we still go to the lake, and we read.

So if you don’t hear from me for awhile, you can rest assured that Hubby and I are either scooting or sitting in front of a lake.
